Old photo's found

This morning I was rummaging through my storage and I came across an old camera that still had the memory card in it. Most of them were taken in 2005. So the kids would have been 2 and 3 1/2 years old, or so.

They adored eachother even back then!
Grayse's first horse, William, at Nanny's old house!

So sweet!!

Old photo's I found

This is when we first got Dozer. We didn't have any land yet but lived in this darling little home in a community. It had a great fenced back yard that the kids and Dozer loved!
He claimed the kids right away! He loved to lay on them and they, of course, loved that!

Around that same year Jason and I got to take a trip to my cousins wedding on the Oregon Coast. I was a great re- connecting time and we have great memories.

This was one of the sunsets we got to experience. There is nothing like a coastal sunset.

Mornin' Chores

Chores are a big part of our daily life. We feel that it is a great character builder and teaches the kids good work ethics. It also teaches responsibility taking care of all these little living things. We have tried to start chores as early on as possible so that it's more of a way of life for everyone. The kids love getting up in the mornings and headin' out.

First Grayse goes out and feeds these 2 horses.
Dear sweet Charlie Horse.

Old man Cory.

Mornin Chores

Then Cory, the old horse, gets grain every day. He has a hard time keeping weight on in the winter.
Charlie gets a little nibble, too!

There's always a little lovin' involved as well. It makes everyone, including the horses, have a better day. It's good for the soul.

Meanwhile, Dylan checks their water and is quickly on his way to the next trough.

Mornin' Chores continued.....

This is "Buns", short for Bun-Bun. He's our very tempermental rabbit that was given to us this past summer. He's very sweet until it's feeding time. Then he attacks! Grayse is the only one that has mastered the art of feeding him. She has a real way with animals.

Dylan is in charge of watering him. We have to change out his bottle every morning and night when it freezes. It's safe on the outside of the cage so, Dylan doesn't mind this job.

I love this picture of the horses in the big feild coming up for water. The fog was just starting to lift.
